Король Нидерландов Виллем-Александр совместно с экс-генсекретарем ООН Пан Ги Муном и директором-распорядителем МВФ Кристалиной Георгиевой приняли участие в открытии «Floating Office Rotterdam» (Роттердамский плавучий офис – прим. ред. Techcult.ru). По заявлению его создателя, компании Powerhouse Company, на сегодня это самое большое деловое сооружение, которое способно перемещаться по воде. Проект должен стать визитной карточкой страны и города Роттердама в том, что касается защиты экологии, заботы о климате и создании нового городского уклада жизни.
Технически, плавающий офис предельно прост – это трехэтажный сборный деревянный домик площадью 3606 кв.м, который опирается на 15 понтонов. Двигателей у него нет, крупных механизмов тоже, самое сложное – массив солнечных панелей площадью 800 кв.м., адаптированный для работы в северных широтах. Офис использует забортную воду для охлаждения, у него есть покрытая зеленью крыша, а главное – вся конструкция полностью подлежит переработке по истечении срока службы.
Плавучий офис поставят в гавани Rijnhaven, где он будет служить примером, как можно перемещать деловые сооружения по мере реализации плана перепланировки этого района. На борту будет размещаться главный офис Глобального центра адаптации, где сейчас работает Пан Ги Мун, офис самой компании Powerhouse, отделение банка ABN Amro, представительство RED Company и ресторан.
Floating Office Rotterdam также демонстрирует, как человечество может бороться с актуальными климатическими вызовами. Он мобилен и может перемещать в любую точку мира, ему не страшен подъем уровня мирового океана из-за глобального потепления. У сооружения нулевой выброс углерода и полное самообеспечение энергией.
