Руководство итальянского футбольного клуба «Рома» назначило легендарного португальского тренера Жозе Моуринью на пост наставника команды вместо Паулу Фонсеки. Он приступит к своим обязанностям с начала сезона 2021/22. Контракт рассчитан на три года.
Об этом сообщила пресс-служба клуба.
«Клуб рад сообщить, что достигнута договоренность с Жозе Моуринью о том, что он станет нашим новым главным тренером в преддверии сезона 2021–2022 годов», — говорится в сообщении.
В свою очередь президент команды Дэн Фридкин и его сын Райан, который является вице-президентом «Ромы», заявили, что очень рады пригласить в клуб такого именитого специалиста и настоящего победителя.
«Мы в восторге от возможности поприветствовать Жозе Моуринью в нашей семье. Лидерские качества и опыт Жозе, который является настоящим победителем, выигрывавшим титулы на любом уровне, поможет нашему амбициозному проекту развиваться. Назначение Моуриньо поможет привить «Роме» и ее футболистам менталитет победителей», — заявили Фридкины.
Радостью от новой должности поделился и сам Моуринью.
«Невероятная страсть болельщиков «Ромы» убедила меня согласиться на эту работу, и я не могу дождаться начала следующего сезона. А пока я желаю Паулу Фонсеке всего наилучшего», — заявил он.
Отметим, что первой серьезной командой в карьере Моуринью был «Порту», с которым он выиграл Кубок УЕФА 2002/03 и Лигу чемпионов 2003/04. После этого он проработал с лондонским «Челси» (восемь трофеев за восемь лет), «Интером» (пять трофеев, в том числе и ЛЧ 2009/10), «Реалом» (чемпионат и Кубок Испании 2011/12) и «Манчестер Юнайтед» (три трофея, включая Лигу Европы 2016/17). Последним местом работы для него стал «Тоттенхем» — этот клуб он возглавил в ноябре 2019 года.
Напомним, недавно «Рома» потерпела разгромное поражение от «Манчестер Юнайтед» в 1/2 Лиги Европы.
А английский «Тоттенхэм» покинул еврокубки в 1/8 финала Лиги чемпионов после поражений от «Лейпцига».
